The Wayfair Outdoor Q & A with Mywellihousedecor

Wayfair: With warm weather officially here, everyone wants to spend most of their time outside. What do you enjoy doing most when you’re outside getting fresh air?

[Paola]: I enjoy having my morning coffee on our Patio! Nothing like spending time outside while enjoying an extension of your home that has been curated to fit your family’s needs and lifestyle.

Wayfair: What are the top three pieces you like to incorporate in your outdoor space in order to make it feel cozy?

[Paola]: There are 3 pieces that will always make your outdoors look cozy and stylish! Greenery, outdoor furniture and pillows. Keep an eye out for furniture that serves multiple functions. Faux or real greenery allows you to make your outdoors space into your very own oasis. And pillows, not only does it tell a story about your decor style, it also gives that cozy touch. 

Wayfair: Moving on to design aesthetics, which color palettes are speaking to you this season?

[Paola]: Going through my very own patio refresh myself, the colors that are speaking to me right now are earthy tones combined with gray and black. The idea behind this concept is to bring the indoors, outdoors. Let your patio be an extension of your home where family and friends can still feel welcomed to, without compromising comfort and functionality. 

Wayfair: Are there any outdoor design trends that are really standing out to you right now?

[Paola]: Yes! One that I consider my favorite is the outdoor kitchen and dining room area. I am not talking about just having a grill outside. I am talking about the whole 9 yards. Having a designated kitchen space and an eating area, turns your Patio into another dining room just outdoors. Longer days means more sunshine and cool weather to enjoy with the family while getting so much needed fresh air.

My favorite outdoor trend is turning your Patio into an extension of your home. Adding items that will scream cozy is the way to go. I love having the ability to cook family meals and having dinner time while enjoying great weather. Is like having your own resort night right at the comfort of your home!
